When you travel, how many books do you bring with you?
Has this changed since the arrival of ebooks?

I take a book for every 4 days of travel 🙂 Not that I ever get time to read, but you never know 😛

Nope hasn’t changed since the arrival of e-books.

What about you?

If you read series, do you ever find a series “jumping the shark?” How do you feel about that?
And, do you keep reading anyway?

It has only happened to one series for me. I stopped on book 2 (loved book 1) and I’m still debating reading number 3. I doubt i will anytime soon though. So for now i have abandoned this series.

What about you?

What are you reading right now? What made you choose it? Are you enjoying it? Would you recommend it? (And, by all means, discuss everything, if you’re reading more than one thing!)?

I am currently reading:

Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1)

Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate #1) by Gail Carriger

I chose it because i have heard wonderful things about it. I am enjoying it 🙂
So far i would recommended it, but only 1/3 in.

What about you?

“I couldn’t sleep a wink, so I just read and read, day and night … it was there I began to divide books into day books and night books,” she went on. “Really, there are books meant for daytime reading and books that can be read only at night.” – ‘The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Milan Kundera, p. 103.

Do you divide your books into day and night reads? How do you decide?

I don’t read during the day as i’m at work, and when i get home i make food etc. I only start reading around 8. So i don’t have day or night books.

But i do have bath and bed books 🙂

What about you?

“You’ve just dropped your favorite, out-of-print book into a bathtub, ruining it completely … What do you do now?”

0_O Oh no let me just say that it will never happen and never has!! (Touch wood) I read everyday for at least 1 hour in the bath and its never happened (Touch wood again). The only thing that has gotten wet is my bookmark.

Now lets say it did happen, i would probably cry lol and then be mad at myself for not putting such a book in the safe and leaving it there!

Even though it’s usually a mistake (grin) … do movies made out of books make you want to read the original?

Definitely! It has happened numerous times that i watch a movie and find out later that it was originally a book. I then pick up the book as soon as i can. Other times i watch a movie that was based on a book i have already read, and then reread the book after the movie!

And you?

If you’re not enjoying a book, will you stop mid-way? Or do you push through to the end? What makes you decide to stop?

I don’t stop reading a book. I push through. Although there was Cry the Beloved Country which i hated, i would have given up, but i had to read it for English class (so i sort of read it :P). So except for that one book, i don’t give up on a book, I am the eternal optimist!

Have your reading choices changed over the years? Or pretty much stayed the same?

I have always been a multi-genre reader and i still am. I do find that i loved mysteries more as a child and that i don’t read as many now (the occasional James Patterson etc). Maybe i should pick up some more and see if i still love it as much!

Definitely the Cullens! I know i know….
But imagine! They would sparkle all day, no shark would come near you and they would sure be entertaining 🙂
